On the other side of the coin, there is also other aspect of my life … that of a ‘scientist’ and an ‘academic’. Through my work over the past 20 years as a researcher / professor at the University of Malta and the University of Exeter (UK), I was also able to acquire a wide variety of skills, such as project management, writing of grant applications, publication of scientific papers in leading international journals, etc. More importantly, this aspect of my life has over the years allowed to appreciate better the importance of critical and lateral thinking.
These two aspects of my live have morphed me to who I am now … a technocrat and a thinker who likes to be active and hands-on, working with people and for the people. A man for others.
Ħafna mill-posts tiegħi fuq facebook juru l-impenn tiegħi fl-isport, jew bħala atleta (qaddief ma’ Kalkara Regatta Club) jew fl-amministazzjoni (e.ż. President, Malta Paralympic Committee, President Onorarju, Siggiewi Rowing Club). Aparti min dak li juru dawn ir-ritratt, il-kandidat taghkom huwa persuna kemxejn teknokratika, attiva fir-riċerka u t-tgħalim fl-Universita` liż-żgħażagħ tagħna. Dawn iż-żewg aspetti kontrastanti ta’ ħajti jgħinuni nkun dak li jien.
